Bluewater Yachts,It has a story born with a passion for maritime.
It first began operating in Virginia Beach, Virginia, in 1959 as a boat dealership owned by Earle Hall. Over time, Bluewater began to serve a variety of boating communities including sailing, cruising, fishing and hydroplane racing.
In the early 1970s, Bluewater consolidated three different waterfront properties on the Hampton River into a single service and sales area. He began providing a one-stop shop for sailors at the Hampton Yacht Club, offering not only boat sales but also a variety of services.
In the 1980s, Bluewater purchased a shipyard in Sunset Creek and began doing warranty work for Viking Yachts. During this period, the company not only serviced but also sold Viking yachts.
In 1986, in Williston, North Carolina, a group of young charter captains came together to build custom sport fishing boats. This eventually led to the birth of Jarrett Bay Boatworks, a successful boat building and service company.
Bluewater continued to expand in the 1990s, opening new sales offices in North Carolina and Maryland. In 1996, it expanded its service area by purchasing the Hampton Roads Marina.
The Jarrett Bay Boatworks team founded Jarrett Bay Yacht Sales in 2003 and began operating in North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida.
With the new brand identity of Bluewater Yacht Sales in 2012, the company became one of the largest and most experienced yacht sales operations in the United States.
Today, Bluewater Yachts is a leader in the sector as a yacht dealer with a customer-oriented service approach and deep-rooted experience. Bluewater’s founders and partners always prioritize their passion for maritime and customer satisfaction.
